What is a lifestyle session?

” Lifestyle photography is photography re-creating “real” life situations in a controlled setting. Lifestyle photography is one of the most popular and consistent types of photography in the market today. Lighting is generally bright, airy and quite natural looking. “

With lifestyle photography, the sky is the limit as to what can be done. You’ll have fun… and if you have children, they’ll be happy to be allowed to run around! That’s not a  bad deal now, is it?

The ceremony was beautiful and emotional.

I was actually told to “not” take photos during the vows by the church organizer (not the priest)… but seeing as I knew how easy-going the priest was (best priest I have ever met by the way!), I decided to keep on shooting. Am I glad I did? You betcha. The emotion, the feel, the look of these photos at that specific moment, below, would have been forgotten right after the ceremony. Not anymore…

This was an intimate wedding with great opportunity for awesome images …minus the cool vintage car … I was already salivating over the photos I would be getting with that kind of car… but it wasn’t ready for the wedding so we worked with the smaller version. See below.

I have no idea why they looked at me (below), but suddenly they did… so I took a shot! I swear though: I was very quiet!

Finally ready!

Below, the bride was dreaming away for a few seconds while the makeup artist was busy… I just love the feel of that black/white photo.

Fast-forward to the ceremony… ring bearer and flower girls were just too cute.

The bride and groom actually walked down the aisle together as per their priest’s request. I thought it was a nice change from the traditional “father gives daughter away”.

It was an emotional ceremony…

This little one below was busy doing her thing while the last few prayers were being said…

I was making myself as small as possible during the ceremony when suddenly these two gave me the thumbs up! Right there, I just wanted to give them a big hug. Aren’t they the cutest?

Married!!

This collection of photos below summarizes pretty much what Sandi and David are: a natural, sweet, and very much in-love couple. Did I say that already?

Below: this shot was a request from the bride and groom!! Congratulations to the mom and dad to-be!! I hope you told the good news to everyone in your family; otherwise, too late, the secret is out!

I knew I loved that shot below when I saw it on the back of my camera… but when I saw it on my screen at home … I loved it even more! LOVE IT!

… and a “not-so-happy” little boy who caught the garter because all these taller guys just stood there rather than run after it themselves! Exactly, what kind of “men” are these guys? You have now confused this boy for life! …

K. is the youngest and a real cutie…

She’s a happy girl, always talking or singing. She’s also quite the little model… 

… who surprised me with some very serious poses during the session…

… but beware, they do not last. Laughing is more fun!

A. is the big brother. He hates having his pictures taken… but he hates missing in on the action even more.

He is “cool” …

Four years ago, I asked him to stop growing, but he is not listening… now it’s hard to catch him for a kiss…

K. loves her brother very very much …

They are my niece and nephew and I love them to bits…

I was so honoured to photograph this little fella, below. In fact, I couldn’t wait for him to arrive at my home! What a cutie! It was funny how he wouldn’t stop staring at me at first … that’s ok though, I kinda stared at him too… then he gave me a big smile… and, well, what a smile!

Thanks to his aunt and mom for their help in making him laugh! C. is such an expressive little baby!
